PREPARE THE 24H ROLLERS

This section will be useful to help you prepare for the event.  and will allow you not to forget the essentials in the perspective of your weekend on the Circuit des 24 Heures du Mans:

More than 100,000 participants and hundreds of teams came to Le Mans
AND YOU ?

  You are thinking about it for the first time, we are here to guide you to your first Le Mans.

Here are some tips, a 10 POINTS method to build your team and participate in the biggest roller skating challenge in the world:

1. The composition

A Captain-manager who will unite the team and orchestrate "The MANS 24H DEFIS project"

CHOOSE YOUR CATEGORY

2. Recruitment (from October- November)

  • Talk about the 24 hours of Le Mans adventure around you: club or training partners, friends, family, etc. Many teams are created via social networks.

  • Talk about your project via social networks.

  • A scholarship for team members is possible to complete your team:  Team members' scholarship

3. Fund your registration (from October)

There are several ways to finance your participation:

  • Divide the cost of registration among teammates.

But also additional aid:

  • Ask for the participation of his club in exchange for wearing his colors.

  • Approach partners such as your business or local businesses.

  • Launch a fundraising campaign:

    • On crowdfunding sites

    • By offering activities to local institutions

4. Register your team:

Once you have all these elements together, you can  register your team here

Before January 10, you can benefit from preferential rates !!

5. Prepare for the trip (from May):

Choose your mode of travel:

  • Travel in personal cars between team members

  • Train (Group rate)

  • Car (quote request ...)

6. Prepare accommodation and catering (from May):

Take stock of the number of tents needed for camping:

Hotel room or team lodge to be closer to the relay area.  accommodation information

Take stock of the on-site catering (meal reservations are possible) or plan “homemade meals” at the campsite (BBQ, pasta etc. etc…)  :  catering information

Offer a possible "all-inclusive package"  Registration + travel + accommodation.  

7. Gather documents (from May) 

Ask your teammates to provide you with all the necessary documents, in paper format because they will be given to the secretariat and kept in the archive.

8. Logistics (from June): 

Take stock of the equipment of the team box in the paddocks: microwave, kettle, coffee maker, etc.

BIBS

  • Photocopy of the RSMC License mentioning 'competition' or your  medical certificate  mentioning the absence of any contraindication to the sport of rollerblading in competition and dating less than 12 months on June 29, 2019.

  • Photocopy of your ID

  • Parental consent  for minors aged 14 to 18 ( version française )

  • 4 safety pins to hang your race number

COMPETITION

  • Top / T-shirt similar to all members of your team
    Rollerblades

  • Wheel sets (especially provide special wheels in case of rain)

  • Spare parts and basic tools (wrench for the wheels, etc.)

  • Helmet

  • Protections

  • Belt bottle holder

  • Personal supplies (fruit, energy drinks, cereal bars, etc.) Please note that water supplies are available during the event.

  • However, everyone is free to take with them something to refuel.

  • Vital card

  • Insurance card

  • Changing clothes (including several pairs of socks)

  • Rain gear

  • Warm outfit for the night

  • Shower towel + Shower gel. Free showers will be available inside the Circuit des 24 heures du Mans

  • Reflective bands for the night

  • Sunglasses + Flip Flops

  • Sunscreen + Cap / Hat

PHARMACY

Provide a first aid kit in which you will take:

  • Drugs like Doliprane / Efferalgan in case of stomach pain, head pain ...

  • Dressings + disinfectant

  • Elastoplast

  • Anti-inflammatory

  • Box of condoms (the promiscuity of boxes can create affinities ...)

IN PADDOCKS

Plan what is necessary to equip your space in the boxes:

  • Chairs / Tables

  • Extension cord / Multiple sockets (Pay attention to the electrical installation in the box to avoid short circuits.)

  • Microwave / Coffee maker / Electric teapot (Stove, lighter and matches prohibited in the boxes)

  • Rope and hanger

  • Hook to attach your belongings to the racks in the boxes

Please note that the pitches are only 9 m², they are a place of waiting between the relays ...
